_TWITCH ANALYTICS
All you need to know about Twitch analytics
Before you choose your collaborators, check out their Twitch analytics. You want to make sure the Twitch streamers you work with have good performance metrics.
The network offers TwitchTracker so you can get Twitch analytics for your favorite streamers. But we’ve also outlined which Twitch analytics to look out for when planning your campaigns.
Followers and subscribers
You can start by looking at how many followers and subscribers a Twitch streamer has. How have they grown their followers? Their subscribers?
Unlike some other networks, there's a distinction between followers and subscribers on Twitch. Don't use these terms interchangeably! They mean different things, and when looking at Twitch analytics you should keep that in mind.
Following is free, and it shows that people like the Twitch streamer's channel. Followers see the channel in their following list. And the channel will show up on followers' front page when the Twitch streamer goes live.
Subscribers are followers who pay to support their favorite Twitch streamers. Twitch offers three tiers of subscriptions ranging from $4.99 to $24.99 per month. Twitch streamers receive a part of these fees to help cover their streaming and living expenses.
There are some special benefits for subscribers. Perks differ depending on the channel, but some common examples are special emotes, badges, exclusive chats and competitions, and ad-free viewing.
When you're evaluating Twitch analytics, look at both followers and subscribers. If you're going for branding, you might want to reach as many people as possible. Follower count might matter more to you here. But, a high subscriber count could show you that the streamer's audience is willing to spend money. This metric might be especially powerful for brands launching a sales campaign.
