I established this archive January 2010. It's a bag of all sorts going way back to 1979, when the 2D animated Coruba Rum commercial "Republic of Fun" won a Gold Clio in New York for World's Best Animation Cinema Commercial. Of course, film making always involves teams of amazingly talented people and I tip my black pork pie to everyone involved. For the record, most of the concepts here are mine. I wrote the scripts, was usually the creative director, often the art director, and many times the producer, and/or director. Horses for courses and all that. Rock 'n' roll is an exception, because obviously I had nothing to do with creating the songs. I was one of the three founding partners at Intergalactic Pictures in Sydney (1984 - 87), which specialised in music videos. Chris Fraser was our director, Warren Lynch editor and my role was creative director, primarily responsible for concepts, art direction, 2nd unit direction and sorting the martinis at The Grape Escape. Jimmy Barnes was our most famous client but "Life's A Gamble" by The Rads was our first clip. Up until July 2010, I was having fun writing more than 240 scripts for JokeToons -- a selection of the world's funniest jokes made into 3D animation cartoons for smartphones. JokeToons was launched on iTunes June 2010. Meantime I'm working on a new clip for Rockin' Rod and the La De Baas and I recently completed the new Maori on Mars trailer that features on this page. Which includes "Bloodstone' -- a stunning new theme song by Kiwi music legend Tiki Taane. So please give it the VOL it richly deserves.
